Rambles - A Cultural Arts Magazine
"If you're a country fan who isn't pleased with the way country and pop have started to sound like each other, try Bob Grez, you'll like his traditional sound." "Grez is a talented writer and performer, and getting better -- I look forward to his third album."Amanda Fisher, Rambles a cultural arts magazine Rambles Album Reviews -- Still A Cowboy, Aint Plain Country

CreatorsWeb.com, Ken Mowery, Bob Grez Interview and Review Dec. 2003
"You have to appreciate Bob Grez. His simple but honest lyrics packaged in understated country charm will disarm you and put you at ease. Listening to Bob's tunes is a lot like sitting around the kitchen table after a huge country dinner. You feel like you're talking to your best friend about the issues of life. There are moments that you smile and even break into full laughter. Sometimes you get quiet and sincere as you ponder life's richest and darkest moments.
Bob Grez's music is a good experience steeped in the values that often escape hectic 21st century living. He helps us identify with a way of thinking, a way of understanding life, a way of life called "country".
However, as you read Bob's thoughtful answers to the CreatorsWeb interview questions, you will see that there is more to being country than you might think. There is nothing simple about the tools Bob uses to share his "honest to goodness" country music with the world. Bob has mastered the most current technology in order to spread good old fashion country charm to an ever growing audience. Be sure to visit Bob's music site at http://www.soundclick.com/bands/4/bobgrez.htm"

The ladies in the office say he has a "bedroom voice." I just say these are two good albums. 4 Stars -- Rhett Ashley, International Country Music Association, 2/02. Circulation 76,500 plus.

I listened to your " Ain't plain country " First of all, I admit I was a little bit surprised by your voice, but while listening further and further I got used to it. At the end I must confess that I was very impressed by your own way of making music. I heard no weak moments at all!! Very strong lyrics with very personal notes and view on everyday's life, you had also a very Strong band behind you, because musically your cd stands like a mountain!! For my show I selected all tracks because they all deserve to be heard and played!! What impresses me the most is your unique kind of voice, a little strange at the beginning but very special, you reminds me a lot at Kinky Friedman or Andre Williams (a little bit cabaret)... Bob, I will start playing your songs( with all my heart) in my show on Thursday 7th. Peace, Ray, Radio MILO, LEOPOLDSBURG (BELGIUM)

You're one of the most unique country artists on the internet. You've developed your vocal tool into an effective instrument like no other. I could criticize it as being imperfect but just listen to your performance on "My Life Is Like a Hundred Country Songs" 2 or 3 times and it grows on you when it's charismatic imperfections unite to form an appealing sound that works very well on your own unique material. I can't define it very well but I LIKE it.

"Well, Ol' George can Dickel, and Ol' Jim can Beam, but they can't hold a candle to the shine that I've seen" Just heard this at Freddie Potts place and saw where you had co-written it.

Man, I never stop being amazed at the talent around here... You are a great example of it... "Mary's Song" sounds like the Traveling Wilbury's to me - Although you've got your own sound - I really dig your voice on this tune. "Where'd You Put My Boots" is a funny, very well crafted tune. I really like this one alot. I've got to admit, however, that "Wish I Never Said Goodbye To You" is probably my favorite just because of the instrumentation and the lyrics and harmonies.
I'm gonna finish all of the tracks. You've made a fan outta me. I'll look forward to future visits!

Howdy Bob,
Looking forward to another good year on soundclick. I don't think that I ever complemented you on your song "After She Is Gone". I really like songs that bring a sense of social awareness out of the closet, maybe make people look around, and give pause to think of the other human beings around them. Sometimes I think most people process other people that they see every day like a mail sorter dropping every person in to a slot like a letter, and never really looking at anybody. But everybody is somebody and everybody has a story and a history. Morris did an excellent job on this one for you bob, so hats of to you to Morris. Best of 2005 to you. Later, Freddy

Hello my name is Patrick Doyle, I listened to "Through your eyes" enjoyed it as a country song really nice(Im not really into country that much, I am a rapper) the reason I am here is because I am representing my Grandfather (Who is now Deceased) but I am uploading his songs onto soundclick for everyone to hear, I was wondering if you would come through and have a listen and leave some feedback, Keep doing the work ur doing, and stay on top, my Grandfathers work was recorded onto an old tape deck back in 89 so that is why it is low quality, but have a listen and leave some feedback ok

Hey Bob,
Always enough hugs to spread around your neck of the woods too :) Just listening to my favorite Gem on your page Split It Down The Middle, it's such a classy true story song that deserves to be heard! Thanks for your kudos on Mistletoe and The Angels, how bout Wanna Go Too Far, any thoughts on that? Those upbeats and simple songs are the toughest for me and I thought I was a little closer to the mark with that one along with Victoria's help :)
Have a wonderful Christmas my friend in song,

Great collab with Freddy on "Moonshine" Bob!
I told Freddy it's a "rip roaring" tune...probably had a bit of some liquid "inspiration for that one...lol! You and Freddy have really done some great work on the lyrics!
I wanted to congratulate you and Freddy, and to say thanks for being who you are! It's a real classy touch when you put the people you collab with at the bottom of your signatures!
It was an honor to be there along with Morris the last time! Now it's Freddy's turn! Who's gonna be next??? ;-)
Thank you, and have a wonderful Christmas holiday!

Hey Bob! Thanks for visiting me, I had the opportunity to know your great music! Man, you´re very talented! I´m listening to "Pickin´on me Mama", reminded me of some mother-in-laws...gets worse when you marry more than once, you know...:) Amazing guitar playing! Good to see that you know some Portuguese also, muito obrigado ! I lived in São Paulo when I was a teenager,it was there that I started to learn guitar. I´m listening to all your songs, I can see why your songs very often reach "Número Um" ! You not only play your instruments very well, but you also sing and write amazing lyrics!"Let Them Know What´s In Your Eyes" is really great! I have a friend , WCalabresi, also in the country charts ( alternative ), he played with me in some bands. He did a good work in "Over The Mountein", I think. Great Work, Bob! I voted "hot" for every track I listened, they deserved it. Best Wishes Até Logo

Hey Bob, just thought I'd drop by and say hi on your messageboard. Thanks for visiting my page and listening to my songs. I have listened to your songs over the last couple weeks and enjoyed every one. I can see why you stay high on the charts. I have been reluctant to ask people to look at my songs because I wanted them to be heard on their own merit. I did not want to get into the "you listen to me I'll listen to you thing". But, I have been reading the posts in the forum and it seems if you want to get heard you gotta promote yourself. Thanks for those posts. I have been getting a lot of good info there. I have definately added you to my list. Thanks for the great music.
