Writing lots of new songs!!! -
Bob's been real busy writing new material. After his first two albums, he collaborated with Freddy Potts on Moonshine, wrote Momma's Arms which was recorded by the Chairs and by Morris Rainville, and wrote After She Is Gone recorded by Morris Rainville. He has another twenty or so projects being wrapped up right now. Come hear his new tunes at Soundclick.

mp3Tunes.com features Bob's music and markets his CDs. They listed Bob in the Top Artist country category for the entire site. Additionally, songplanet.com plays Bob's music on internet radio station thanks to DJ Mike K the Germanator. Thanks for your support Mike and Songplanet!

Bob loves the Soundclick site and has a real nice site there. Check it out. He's had a lot of number ones on the charts there (seven at last count). He is also active on the Country Forum there, so if you want to talk and exchange ideas about country music with him, then join in.

End of the road on mp3 -
Bob's songs totaled more than 670,000 plays on mp3.com when it closed up shop. mp3.com was sold to CNET and will no longer be featuring indie music as of Dec. 2, 2003. Bob appreciates the mp3 fans for making him that music site's number one country singer songwriter for the three years that he was there.

Two more number ones on mp3 -
Bob's songs are a hit in alternative country. Why Do You Wear Our Ring on Your Middle Finger and Hey Mister Take Care of My Kids and My Wife hit number one in December 2002. To date, Bob has amassed over 620,000 song plays on the internet at mp3.com alone.

Bob crosses half million plays on mp3 -
Bob crossed a milestone on mp3.com with more than half a million song plays on the world's largest internet music provider. That is an amazing amount of plays in the country genre.

Bob on the air in Sweden -
Bob was featured in a Bob Grez hour on mr. B Radio. His songs were featured in these first broadcasts from this new station. Thanks, mr. B!

Bob Hot in Japan on Taata's No Rock Festival -
A special howdy to Japan! Domo oregato. Bob was featured during May and June on Taata's No Rock Music Festival 2002. The show was syndicated and aired all over Japan!

Bob nominated for mp3 Grammy Awards -
In a contest on mp3, Bob has been nominated for the mp3 Grammy Awards in country. The contest will be decided by peer votes in February.

Bob Scores 5th Number One at mp3 -
Let Them Know What's In Your Eyes reached number one on the alternative country charts on mp3.com in late December. This is Bob's fifth number one hit on the internet. All 26 of his songs have been in the Top 20. To date, his songs have received over 200,000 plays on the net.

Peer Music Awards -
Bob Grez is featured on the Peer Music Awards website. First prize is a prestigious recording contract and will be announced in February 2002. The Awards ceremonies will be held in New York City.

#5 Selling Country CD at mp3 -
Bob's CD Still A Cowboy is the number 5 selling Country CD at mp3 in December.

#2 Selling Country CD at mp3 -
Bob's CD Ain't Plain Country was the number 2 selling Country CD at mp3 in November. Sales at mp3 have been worldwide including Australia, Japan, Germany, England, Canada, and the USA.

Two Simultaneous #1 Hits at mp3 -
Fourth Number One is a Bluegrass Tune. Good Ol' Country Boys and Girls Do Love Good hit number one in October at www.mp3.com on the Bluegrass Country charts. My Life Is Like a 100 Country Songs was at number one again on the Traditional Country charts.

Bob's song Where'd You Put My Boots, My Darlin' hit number one in September at www.mp3.com. He has amassed over 86,000 song plays in ten months at mp3.

Second Number One at mp3 -
Bob Grez hit number one on the traditional charts at mp3 with Dance With Me Tonight in August. Two other songs hit number two on the Alternative Country Charts in June and July. They were Hey Mister, Take Care of My Kids & My Wife and Why Do You Wear Our Ring On Your Middle Finger?

Bob Grez has agreed to play on a homegrown show on a Sunday 8-10pm sometime in January or February with his new band. A firm date will be announced later. This will be a simultaneous 2 hour broadcast in Syracuse, Utica, and Oswego.

On Oct. 10, 2000, two Bob Grez songs were on the top 40 charts simultaneously. Dance With Me Tonight was #34 on the New Country Charts at mp3.com. My Life Is Like A 100 Country Songs was #37 on the General Country charts.

Jamboree in the Woods Country Music Festival,
Country, Bluegrass, and Olde Thyme Music, Vienna, NY Aug. 18, 19, 20, 2000. Bob Grez opened the festivities on Friday featuring a complete set of originals in a solo acoustic act and had a round robin at the bonfire with other musicians. Lots of fun was had by all who were there. Bob will be there again next year.

In June 2000, Bob Grez signed with BMI.
26 new songs have been registered with the music performance rights organization.

Radio stations in Texas, Holland, and Belgium started playing Bob Grez songs in July 2000.

Two CDs Ain't Plain Country and Still A Cowboy were released on July 27, 2000.
For two years, Bob worked on the songs for these albums. He finished recording them in May. Co-produced with Carmen Caramanica (lead guitarist for Tony Orlando and Dawn and for Raquel Welch and producer for Lou Rawls) these albums feature Carmen's fine lead guitar (some of the finest guitar pieces anywhere). The music spans from the down home traditional to the modern more contemporary country flavors. What sticks out are the Bob Grez vocals, his sense of humor, the freshness of the music, and the intensity of the lyrics.
